Dental crowns completely cover the tooth surface giving the tooth added strength and stability. The procedure will take at least two office visits. The dentist will take an impression of the tooth during the first visit. This impression will be used to make the crown, which usually takes approximately two weeks.
A dental bridge consists of a false tooth that

is fused between two crowns. The purpose of this procedure is to fill in the area left by a missing tooth. The two crowns holding it in place are attached onto your teeth on each side of the false tooth. This is known as a fixed bridge, and it can't be taken out of the mouth like dentures. Dental bridges can last ten years or more. |
